本山真帆 山田悠太朗 二人展
centre projectにて本山真帆、山田悠太朗による二人展
「Flatways」を開催しました。スペースのこけら落とし
となる本展は、「平面」を起点に両者が継続してきた造形表現と、
社会実装における新たな接続点を模索する試みです。
本山は、はじめに立体を創造し、展開図に落とし込んだのち、
再度紙箱として組み立てるという工程の中で、平面と立体が交差する
その「あわい」を考察してきました。山田は紙を支持体にしながら、
自身の絵画制作と紐付けたごく薄いマテリアルの層に存在する、
視覚的表現や触覚的体験を描出しています。会場では
これらのプロセス・成果物・展開例などが同座し、両者の行為が
連関することにより、インスタレーションとして立ち現れていきます。

Maho Motoyama, Yutaro Yamada Two Artists Exhibition
Maho Motoyama and Yutaro Yamada held a two-person exhibition “Flatways” at center project.
The exhibition serves as the opening of the space and is also an attempt by the two artists,
who have continued their plastic expression from a ‘flat’ point of view,
to explore new points of contact between their creations and society in social implementation.
Motoyama creates a 3D object first, then develops it into a geometry net,
and then reassembles it as a paper box. in this process, She has examined the ‘awai’ between 2D and 3D.
Yamada uses paper as support to draw out the visual expression and
tactile experience present that exists in the ultrathin layers of material associated with his painting practice.
In the exhibition space, these processes,
deliverables and examples of development are juxtaposed together and
it will emerge as an installation from their actions intersect.
