ミラノサローネ2026、Matera Collectiveにてデザインした大理石の作品が展示されました。
Materaは、国際的なデザイナーやアーティストとのコラボレーションにより制作された、コレクタブルな石のオブジェ・コレクションを
制作するプロジェクトです。
ディレクターのStefan Scholtenからは、2次元と3次元の間を表現してほしいとの依頼をいただき、
OrigamiとStackという二種類のオブジェをデザインしました。
Origami
折り紙の構造を持ち、大理石という素材でありながら軽やかな印象を目指しました。
Stack
大理石の採石場に置かれている巨大な大理石が、機械で持ち上げやすいように一片が持ち上げられており、
重さと軽さが融合した興味深い状態でした。
その状態をオブジェで表現しようと試みました。
各作品は、素材、クラフトマンシップ、そして芸術的アイデンティティが融合する中で、
大理石や天然石が持つ表現力や彫刻的な可能性を探求しています。
ミラノ・デザイン・ウィーク2026の「Raritas」にて発表される本コレクションは、署名とシリアルナンバー入りの限定エディションで展開され、
現代のインテリアに深みと個性、そして永続性をもたらすようデザインされています。

At Salone del Mobile 2026, marble works designed for the Matera Collective were exhibited.
Matera is a project that creates a collection of collectible stone objects
produced through collaborations with international designers and artists.
Director Stefan Scholten asked us to express the space between two and three dimensions,
so we designed two types of objects: “Origami” and “Stack.”
Origami
Featuring an origami-inspired structure, we aimed to create a light and airy impression despite the use of marble as the material.
Stack
In a marble quarry, a massive block of marble is often lifted by machinery with one section raised to facilitate handling,
creating an intriguing state where heaviness and lightness merge.
We sought to express this state through our object.
Each piece explores the expressive power and sculptural potential of marble and natural stone
through a fusion of materials, craftsmanship, and artistic identity.
This collection, to be unveiled at “Raritas” during Milan Design Week 2026, will be released as a limited edition featuring signatures and serial numbers,
and is designed to bring depth, character, and longevity to contemporary interiors.
